Job Description

Pennoni is currently looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer with experience consistent, but not limited to:

  • Performing structural design, structural analysis, condition inspection and rating analysis of various transportation structures such as highway and railway bridges, and overhead sign structures

  • Participating in bridge inspections

  • Developing finite element models for the analysis of existing or new structures to evaluate their performance

  • Providing expertise and support to other transportation design teams on an as needed basis.

  • Preparing technical calculations, drawings, tables, charts, and assist in report preparation

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

Required education: Bachelor of Science Civil/Structural Engineering.

Minimum years of working experience: 0-3 years. Co-Op or intern experience is preferred.

Licenses required: Engineer-In-Training preferred.

Computer skills required: Working knowledge of structural analysis software platforms is desired such as finite element modeling (Strand7, STAAD, GTSRUDL, SAP2000), structural analysis software (BAR7, VIRTIS, BRASS, SPColumn), computational software (MATLab, MATCad, ABQUS, Python), computer aided design (Microstation, AutoCAD, Civil3D) and MS Office inclusive or MS project and MS Visio

Preferred Attributes:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently within a group setting
