Job Description

Pennoni associates is seeking a Field Survey Technician with experience consistent, but not limited to:

Adjust and operate surveying instruments i.e., prisms, theodolites, GPS/electronic distance-measuring equipment

Record survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, sketches, and data collection files

Use rods for bench loops and cross-section elevations

Position and hold the vertical rods or targets that theodolite operators use for sighting in order to measure angles, distances, and elevations

Search for sectional and property corners together with survey points

Stake-out and recover survey stakes, marks, and other monumentation

Perform manual labor, such as cutting brush for lines, carrying stakes, rebar, and other items, and stacking rods

Perform construction staking activities

Job Requirements

4-7 years of experience; High School Degree or Equivalent;

Experience with survey data collection equipment;

Previous use of High Definition Laser Scanner equipment a plus
