Job Description

Pennoni Associates is currently seeking an Associate Traffic Engineer with experience consistent, but not limited to:

  • Leading complex traffic engineering tasks with other staff on highway and bridge projects.
  • Leading and developing traffic studies, traffic and signal design, and highway occupancy permits.
  • Developing roadway plans, pavement marking plans, traffic control plans, project cost estimates and specifications.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technical staff.
  • Managing projects/tasks of various sizes for a variety of clients.
  • Managing client relationships with Public and Private Clients.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Required education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Minimum years of work experience: 5 years
  • Licenses preferred: EIT, PE, PTOE 
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft; experience with Microstation is preferred

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with traffic related software packages
  • Preparation and review of Traffic Impact Studies
  • Traffic signal design and signal system design
  • ITS planning, design, and implementation
