Job Description

Pennoni Associates is looking for a Transportation Engineering Intern to perform the following but not limited to:

  • Assisting the engineering professional and technical staff in the preparation of design plans of highways, bridge and traffic engineering projects
  • Assisting in data collection phases for various types of projects; ex. traffic counts
  • Supporting transportation staff in plan preparation and design tasks
  • Performing calculations, computer analysis of traffic data, data input and quality take-off
  • Working with various computer programs such as MicroStation, AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Supporting various transportation projects as required

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • College enrollment as a Civil Engineering major, with emphasis in transportation or related coursework preferred
  • 2-3 years of college experience
  • Microsoft Office experience required: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Attributes

  • Some experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation is preferred 
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, follows through on assignments
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment
