Job Description

Pennoni Associates is currently seeking an Utilities Engineer with experience consistent, but not limited to:

  • Assisting in the creation of construction prints for, but not limited to, BGE and Verizon
  • Observing construction and preparing reports
  • Following established technical specifications to prepare models and drawings
  • Performing design and drafting work for electric utility distribution projects
  • Preparing construction drawings, following established technical specifications
  • Consulting with engineers and/or technical experts regarding design solutions and design standards
  • Creating detailed work instructions, including but not limited to step-by-step job descriptions, lists of required materials, and plans for service interruptions
  • Preparing permit applications
  • Conducting site walk downs and evaluate the condition of existing equipment

Job Requirements

Job Requirements 

  • Essential Software tools: AutoCAD and Microstation
  • Required education: Associates Degree in related area of study
  • Minimum years of work experience: 0-3
  • Computer skills required: Drafting experience required in either AutoCAD or Microstation

Preferred Attributes

  • Willing to work indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to work with with others and independently
  • Familiarity with electric distribution systems and design practices
  • Past work experience with an electric utility company
